PRIVACY & COOKIES
A little clarity
about your data.

Who handles your information
Darren Daly, the independent designer behind Squigg Studios, is the controller responsible for personal information handled through this website and studio enquiries. Squigg Studios is an independent studio, not a limited company.
Business correspondence address: Unit 4, Ballymount Cross Business Park, Ballymount, Dublin, Ireland.
Email: studios@squigg.ie.
When you get in touch
Email enquiries can include your name, email address, business details and whatever you choose to share. I use this information to respond, discuss a possible project and, where agreed, deliver the work. The legal bases are steps you request before a contract, performance of a contract, and legitimate interests in managing ordinary business correspondence. Accounting records are also processed to meet legal obligations. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.
The project enquiry
The optional guided enquiry runs in your browser until you press “Send my enquiry”. Your name, email address, optional phone number, project answers and any kept concepts are then sent through Web3Forms to studios@squigg.ie. Web3Forms processes the submission and technical information such as your IP address, submission time and referring website to deliver the message and prevent abuse. Studio email is received through Microsoft 365. Form answers are not saved in this website’s browser storage. Unsaved text may remain in the page until you close or refresh it; your browser may offer its own autofill or restore features.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not add advertising cookies, visitor identifiers, tracking pixels, embedded social feeds or client-side analytics scripts. Its fonts, photographs and videos are served with the website.
Two session-storage settings support features you choose to use. They are not used for advertising or to measure your browsing:
- Motion preference —
squigg-motion: remembers when you pause or enable animation, so that choice follows you between pages in this browser tab. Written when you use a motion control. - Kept ideas —
squigg-brief-ideas: remembers the concepts you choose to keep for your optional website brief. It contains concept names, not your name, email address or form answers. Removed when you remove all kept ideas.
Both settings are limited to the browser tab’s session, normally ending when the tab closes. Some browsers can restore a previous session. You can clear them below or use your browser’s site-data settings. FOLD’s illustrative clothing edit and Cala’s date planner are held only in the current page’s memory; neither submits an order or booking.
No consent banner is displayed because the site has no optional analytics or marketing technologies to switch on. The session settings above only support the features you request. If optional tracking is introduced, this notice and the consent controls will be updated before it runs.
Website delivery and security
The public website is hosted through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information such as IP addresses, requested URLs and security events to deliver and protect the site. Basic traffic and security reports may be available in the hosting dashboard. They are not a record of named visitors, and no extra visitor-tracking script has been added. Technical request information is handled under the provider’s service terms and retention arrangements. Browser caching may keep copies of public website files to make repeat visits faster.
Who can access information
I use Microsoft 365 for email, Cloudflare for hosting and Web3Forms (Web3Creative) for enquiry delivery. They process information under their applicable service terms and data-protection arrangements. Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area; relevant provider arrangements include safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. See Cloudflare’s data-processing addendum and Microsoft’s data-protection information. Web3Forms operates from India and uses international infrastructure, including AWS, Cloudflare and Hetzner. Its server-side spam checks may process email and IP information through CleanTalk or Akismet. Its data-processing terms include Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant transfers. See Web3Forms’ privacy notice and data-processing terms. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for accounting, legal obligations or a dispute. Enquiry details are not sold or used for unsolicited marketing.
How long information is kept
Unsuccessful enquiries are deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing discussion or legal matter. Project records are retained while the work and agreed support continue, then reviewed for deletion when no longer needed. Accounting records are generally retained for six years to meet Irish tax-record obligations. Relevant records may be retained longer where a specific legal obligation or dispute requires it. The Studios Web3Forms form is configured to delete submission copies after 365 days. This runs from the submission date and is separate from email correspondence, which follows the periods above. Provider copies are also included when handling a deletion request.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request portability. You can make a request using the contact details above. You may also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.
Original concepts and external links
The showcase contains original illustrative design concepts, not commissioned client work. Imagined products, places, people and clothing imagery include AI-generated material. The studio opening, fragrance story and watch motion use generated films controlled by scrolling; these are visual studies, not demonstrations of a physical manufacturing process. Cala is a fictional stay; FOLD is a fictional clothing label; the watch and fragrance are fictional product studies. They have no live stock, checkout, availability, orders or reservations. External links lead to services with their own privacy arrangements.
